Counter Surveillance
Counter
surveillance is defined as “The actions that a person or team carries out in order to prevent a person from being under
surveillance and , to identify any presence of a
surveillance team or person”.
At
24/7 Close Protection Ltd we can arrange teams or a single person to carry out these tasks to a highly trained professional level covertly or overtly. Or in other words we will let the
surveillance team know we are aware of their presence, or we can let them appear they have not been detected. Surveillance being carried out by someone is usually preparing for some form of attack. For instance a kidnapper will have to carry out some form of
surveillance and do his homework before they commit to executing their plans..
Our
counter surveillance teams will carry out vigorous checks and observations in order for them to establish whether there is a
surveillance team or person watching our VIP’s every move, while our
Close Protection Officers can carry on with their role in protecting the VIP. we use all kinds of
surveillance equipment whilst carrying out any
counter surveillance mission. These include anything from button hole cameras, video camcorders, spy cameras placed inside any object through to the use of our fully equipt
surveillance van with night vision, which records onto a DVR (Sigital Video Recorder) and placed onto a DVD for our clients conveiniance. That way what we capture can be watched on any DVD player, computer or laptop.
Our
Close Protection teams are always aware of this possibility and are constantly alert while carrying on with their duties. All our Operatives are also trained to be on the lookout for a
surveillance team, so you would not have to have a seperate team if you did not require a larger team.
Our counter surveillance teams will also carry out constant foot patrols around the VIP’s residence in order to look for likely Observation Posts. Or this can be done covertly, depending on our clients requirements and needs.
